HOME LOGOPHILE
Words shape worlds. In this piece from her Positively Earnest series, Hubby gathers alphabetized adjectives to imagine and manifest an ideal home. Painted in reverberating fluorescent persimmon orange across raw linen, the words line up like bricks in a wall, but instead of wood or stone, the building blocks are affirmations: airy, animated, balanced, cozy, flourishing, joyful, nourishing, serene, vibrant…
The act of painting these words was both mantra and manifestation. By channeling them into physical form, Hubby engaged the brain’s capacity for experience-dependent neuroplasticity—the rewiring of pathways through repetition and reinforcement. Each word becomes more than description; it is intention vibrating into possibility.
This work embodies the artist’s belief that home is not only a physical space but also an energetic one—shaped by language, imagination, and feeling. To stand before HOME LOGOPHILE is to step into a vision of dwelling as sanctuary: vibrant, verdant, versatile, warm.
Placed in any space, this painting becomes both a declaration and an invitation. A house built of words, a shelter of intentionality, a reminder that what we repeat and envision becomes the architecture of our lives.
